Australia Expo Overprint GB Version Direct from RM

Note that if you want the GB version of the Australia Stamp Expo overprint and do not want to pay the mark ups currently being asked on Ebay, you can currently get it directly from RM over the Internet. The only extra will be the £1.45 postage (in the UK).

Australia 2013 Overprint: Conspiracy or Cockup?

Early pictures of the Post & Go labels being issued at the World Stamp Expo in Australia have revealed that RM has created not two but four new varieties!!!

The Machin and Union Flag labels being provided by RM from the UK are overprinted:

Australia 2013 World Stamp Expo

However the labels being purchased at the actual exhibition are overprinted:

Australia 2013 Stamp Expo

Pictures are available on the Norvic Blog

http://blog.norphil.co.uk/

Although it was always going to be possible to identify the two sources by the machine and country codes many collectors ignore these and just collect the overprints which were supposed to be the same from either source.  The Norvic blog states the Hytech Machines arrived very late at the exhibition so maybe they just typed in the wrong text!

Post & Go Australia 2013 World Stamp Expo Overprint

The world stamp expo is taking place in Melbourne, Australia 10-15th May 2013.

 http://worldstampexpo.com.au/

Royal Mail Post & Go have a stand (165) at the expo and will be selling both the Machin head and Union flag Post & Go labels with an overprint of 'Australia 2013 World Stamp Expo'

An Ebay seller is now accepting orders for these overprinted labels:

The machin head design
The Union flag design

It appears that two versions will be available:

Code A5GB13 which is being supplied by RM from the UK, and
Code A5AU13 which will only be available from the exhibition itself.

The ones currently being offered on Ebay are the GB version.

As far as I can see there is no way of ordering the AU version from the Expo website above.

One can expect that the AU code versions will be at a substanitly premium over the GB versions, so we you have any friends in Melbourne........................
